Is forest school a safe option during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Forest Friends does our best to provide a safe and healthy environment for your young children. Ample time in nature for little ones has been proven to build strong immune systems!
We’re confident that our program is a safe, smart choices for families during these tricky times. With plenty of wide open spaces and fresh air, care from consistent (and vaccinated) and educators, and smaller class sizes than most, we hope you can feel at ease about choosing Forest Friends for your child. We’re happy to offer a flexible and tailored approach to caring for your child: if there is anything we can do to tell, let us know!
Each day educators will ask you about any symptoms your child may be having. Please keep your little one safe at home if they are experiencing fever, cough, and/or chills. Sleepy, cranky, or really excited? We always appreciate knowing how your little one is feeling that particular day so we can care best for them and give them the best experience in school.
We model and encourage sanitary practices and routines in little ones, giving reminders to cough and sneeze into our elbows, and using hand sanitizer in every appropriate instance.
